In short

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For simple visitor statistics it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics; no profile of you is built. It loads no fonts or other content from third-party servers.

Visitor statistics with Cloudflare Web Analytics

To see how many people visit the site and which pages they read, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare and sends the page address, the referring page, browser and device type, load times and your IP address to Cloudflare. Cloudflare uses the IP address only to determine your approximate country and does not store it. No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device; individual visitors are not recognised again. I only see aggregated numbers. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is understanding the reach of the site and improving it. You can object by blocking the script with a content blocker or by e-mailing me. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.

Hosting on GitHub Pages

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser, in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is providing the site securely and reliably. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: GitHub's privacy statement.

Contact by e-mail

If you write to me, I process your message and e-mail address only to reply to you (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed.

Links to Google Play and profiles

Links to Google Play, GitHub, LinkedIn or XING are plain links. Only when you click them do the privacy rules of the respective provider apply. The Google Play links contain a campaign parameter (e.g. utm_source=pockydev_website) that tells Google Play you came from this website. This lets me see aggregated numbers of store visits and installs via the website in the Google Play Console, but nothing about individual people.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
